Spinach brings iron and Popeye to mind (well, for some of us at least!). But did you know there is such a thing as 'perpetual spinach'? It's a fascinating plant which isn't actually spinach as such, but more related to chard. And as I am of Greek origin and love my spanakopitta, it's definitely one of my all time favourite veggies I grow in my garden. So if you're a keen gardener, read on about perpetual spinach.
And if you're a keen cook, here's my great-great grandmother's spanakopitta recipe.
