GAPS™ Nutrition

GAPS™ (Gut And Psychology Syndrome) is a natural protocol to address autism, ADHD/ADD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, CFS, ME, anxiety, depression and schizophrenia in adults and children. GAPS™ focuses on removing foods difficult to digest which are damaging to the gut flora and replacing them with quality, nutrient-dense foods giving the intestinal lining a chance to heal and seal.

GAPS™ is particularly effective in cases of compromised intestinal function, allergy presentation or other gastrointestinal damage due to autoimmune issues, medications, surgery or vaccinations.

The protocol is derived from the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) created by Dr Sidney Valentine Haas. SCD gained great popularity after a mother, Elaine Gottschall, used the protocol to heal her child of ulcerative colitis:

"There is growing scientific evidence that IBD may be a disease of Westernization due to a diet high in refined sugars."

Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride, through years of research and clinical experience, has adjusted the GAPS™ protocol to meet the individual needs of patients suffering from intestinal and neurological conditions as a result of an imbalanced intestinal microbiome.

The GAPS™ protocol can be successfully combined with CEASE therapy, particularly in cases of severe iatrogenic or vaccine damage.

Fermented foods are the backbone of GAPS™ Nutrition. From yoghurt to kefir to sauerkraut (and a whole lot of other delicious dishes) fermented foods offer a rich, nutritious source of beneficial gut bacteria, so desperately needed by GAPS™ individuals.

You can book a fermentation workshop to learn how to make these wonderful foods in your own kitchen

You could even book a fermentation workshop as a novel alternative birthday treat!

Both kids and adults love getting their hands on grated cabbage and squeezing all the juices out of it, then stuffing it in a jar to take home!

What you say:

Dr R DS, Surrey

Elle, thank you for another excellent workshop!!!

We learn so much from you... not only about fermentation but also about other health matters, and you are so knowledgeable about geopolitical issues, which you then kindly share with us!

I mentioned it before: you are an excellent teacher and i think part of that is because you are very patient as a teacher and you graciously go over things until the attendees understand it, because you understand that not everybody is on the same level and so sometimes some key information has to be repeated a number of times throughout the workshop and you seem to have an instinctual knowing when to do so... amazing!

Thanks once again!
